Our world has evolved into a culture of consumption. This consumption is what defines our generation as we feel that we need to constantly be buying something. This consumption is commonly referred to as shopping. Shopping can be described in many different ways, but for simplicity sake we will refer to it as when you purchase goods.
Some people shop for necessity, others shop because there is nothing else to do. Unlike other pass times, we shop out of necessity and pleasure at the same time. How many things can we say we do that are both needed and voluntary at the same time? We shop for cheap Spanish loans and we also shop for dairy products at our local grocery store. Shopping is not limited to one particular item, it is comprised of almost everything we do. Every time we buy something we can effectively say we are shopping, regardless of whether the product is a need or want. We shop because we need to and we shop because we want to. Our society is dependent on our shopping habits, if we did not purchase goods than there would be no jobs. Most jobs are interconnected with services or products, and without a buyer there would be no work. Shopping is an integral component of the continued success of our society.
