Express Furniture: Review Its Zero Complaints Rate

Though the internet has redefined shopping in our time, there are a number of items that simply cannot be purchased for discount prices online. In this article we are going to focus on furniture. As you might expect, furniture cannot be purchased affordably online because shipping costs are prohibitive. In fact, it can cost several hundred pounds to ship large pieces like beds or divans, which means that visiting the store in-person is often your best bet.

But before you buy, you should consider which wood is best for your home. Probably the two most popular woods for homeowners are mahogany and oak. Which is better? This is an extremely difficult question to answer.

Both woods are considered hardwoods and they are extremely durable and have a high resistance to warping, rotting and decay. Really, there is no comparison between these two woods and inferior ones like pine, maple or beech. That is why stores like Express Furniture sell them at premium prices.

Which is pricier? While both woods are rather expensive, mahogany is a bit pricier in most cases. Now, this doesn't necessarily make it better. In fact, oak is a naturally stronger and more durable wood. However, it is not considered to be quite as attractive or as warm as mahogany.

Still, oak remains the wood of choice for professional furniture makers who specialise in heavy, durable family furniture. Therefore, we recommend oak furniture for families that are looking to save a few pounds on durable furniture that will last for decades.

The Wessex List ... supporting the community!
20th June 2007

The Wessex List now offers free listings to local bona-fide voluntary groups and registered charities alike. The brand new Charitable Listings are free of charge - provided that the listee is a not-for-profit organisation.

The manually edited web directory now also supports New Forest Community Media - a local not-for-profit organisation that just launched its Internet Media Service this month. NFCM would like to work towards eventually launching a community radio station, serving the New Forest National Park, whilst also developing its existing text-based content and web/podcasts.

To help raise funds for the project, which will also cover local business stories as part of its Community Matters stream, simply advertise on this site. 20% of all listing fees will be donated to NFCM. It's that easy!
